The client brought on Pelorus to help take advantage of the sites outlook down to Island Bay below. Although the property is located on a steep slope, we implemented a cantilevered support structure that extends the building footprint out over the steep slope connecting the home to the view towards the south coast.

The extension has given the master suite breath-taking views maximised by the use of full-height windows. The main living room opens out to a large hard wood deck with full height sliding/stacking doors. Glass balustrades to a raised “look-out” ensure that the view remains unobstructed from inside the home.
