CCDHB required a space planning feasibility and developed design for a new child development centre in a disused hospital campus building. 

For patients the brief was to arrange pediatrician and outpatient clinic rooms, gymnasium spaces, multi-purpose therapy spaces and low stimulus rooms. 

For staff, shared office work environments and staff amenities were needed with good circulation and oversignt of patient facilities. 

Aesthetically the premises needed to be child-friendly through use of colour and appealing decor. A conceptual idea was developed for 'a walk in the park', bringing to the interior strong feelings of the outdoors, a therapeutic garden and a healing garden to create a healthy and positive interior.
